COVID-19 Museum Closure
Following advice from the government and Public Health England surrounding COVID-19 Ragged School Museum will be closed to the public as of Friday 20th March 2020.
We will continue to review PHE advice, and hope to open bookings to schools as soon as we can. One of our options will be to open first only to schools and not the general public.
We will continue to have a presence online. Check our website or follow us @RaggedSchool
Like many other small charities the lack of revenue over this period will have a profound impact for our future.
We will not be holding our Family Victorian Lessons until further notice.
Find out more information about our lessons here.
The museum is open between 10am and 5pm every Wednesday and Thursday, and between 2pm and 5pm on the first Sunday of each month.
The museum is open for Schools and Group History Talks from Monday to Friday during term time – and we run family craft activities during the holidays on Wednesdays and Thursdays only.
Unfortunately, only the ground floor of the museum has step-free access. Please call the museum on 020 8980 6405 for further details on this matter.
Please check our opening hours carefully before visiting. The museum relies on volunteers and, as a result, offers limited opening hours.
Don’t miss our Victorian Lessons for everyone- on the first Sunday of every month.
If you plan on visiting with a large group please call the museum on 020 8980 6405 in advance.
**Please be aware that there may be limited access to the Schoolroom and Victorian Kitchen at certain times, due to visiting school groups.**
Admission Costs
General admission to the museum is free; charges apply for schools and group talks. All our holiday activities are free.
